Why I Blog

UPDATE – January 2015

Since my Writing for Publication class ended, I’ve turned this blog into a space for chronicling my study abroad experience in Seville, Spain, for the spring 2015 semester. (Hence, the flamenco dancer header photo.) See this post for more information on where I’m going and the shenanigans I’ll be getting up to. My goals for study abroad can be found here.

The name of this blog was inspired by a quote by Henry Miller about travel: ““One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.”

I started this blog for my Writing for Publication class, but I hope to continue it after the semester ends as I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while now. It’s about writing, books, pop culture, social justice–basically, whatever I’m interested in. I’m no veteran blogger, but I hope to develop this blog as I develop my writing.

(See my first post ever to find out why I write!)
